The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) has published its Target Schedule of Contracts and Frameworks Q3 2016 which indicates the timescales for implementing public tendering frameworks and contracts, by industry sector and procurement category.
Each of the eight OGP-run categories
1. Professional Services
2. Facilities Management, Maintenance
3. Utilities
4. Information and Communication Technology and Office Equipment
5. Marketing, Print and Stationery
6. Travel, Transport & and HR Services
7. Fleet and Plant
8. Managed Services
has a schedule, by quarter of the frameworks to be in place.
Once these frameworks are in place, all public bodies are required to only contract with suppliers through these contracts – it is therefore imperative for your business that you achieve a place on the framework(s) in your category(ies).
