Bid Management Services is delighted to have been chosen as the winner of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) National Training Awards 2012 for its work in training companies in winning tenders.
Upon receiving the award, Managing Director of Bid Management Services Joanne Gillen said “It is very rewarding that our performance record in tender training has been recognised by IITD. Over the past twelve months we have provided tender training workshops to over 750 companies on behalf of InterTradeIreland, Enterprise Ireland, Chambers of Commerce, IBEC/SFA, among others. We hold ISO9001:2008 certification for tender management and training as well as being a FETAC registered training provider. No other public procurement consultancy in Europe has attained both accreditations, which ensure accountability, consistency and awareness of the legal and practical impact of our business methods. Companies we have trained have gone on to win public- and private-sector contracts worth millions of Euro both in Ireland and overseas.”
In presenting the awards, Minister for Training and Skills Ciarán Cannon said “I note that the Companies receiving awards this evening range from small and medium sized enterprises to large multi-national corporations…It is the companies represented here today who will play a vital role in the creation of jobs and in turn ensure that this country has the necessary resources to rebuild our economy and restore confidence and stability.”
Now in their 14th year, the IITD National Training Awards are an opportunity for participants to benchmark their training and development programmes in real terms. Behind every successful National Training Award entry is a compelling business story, both about the benefits to be derived from investing in people and the recognition of training as a key driver of performance in modern Irish businesses.
